{1}For tetters & ringworms. Take black sope, & almost as
much Ginger in pouder, mix them well together, then

-ing it twice euery day wi^th new, for y^e space of a fortnight

{1}To provoke sleep. White Poppy & henbane seed a little
stamped, & tempered wi^th y^e white of an Egge, & laid
to y^e forehead provoketh sleep. proved. often.

{2}Take y^e Iuice of henbane, Lettice, plantane, poppy, of
y^e Leaves of Mandrake, Ivy, mulberry & hemlock, of
each one dram; of Opium & Ivy-berries of either as
much; stamp the Ivy-berries & y^e Opium together;
& mix y^e Iuices & them well together; then dip a
spung into y^e same, & let it drink it all up, then lay
y^e same spunge in y^e Sun to dry: afterwards lay y^e
