Gentlemen.
I have the honor to inform you that on August 6th, 1898, I recieved the resignation of H.P Shiel Sanitary officer of the city of Forth Worth, Captain Shiel having accepted other and more incrative employment.
This being the hot season of they year I deemed it very important that the health department should have all neccessary attention, I therefore appinted Mr. Ben H. Shipp to fill the vacancy, pending action by your honorable body.
