FORT WORTH, TEXAS 19th, 1901

PROPOSAL FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A THREE ROOM, ONE STORY FRAME SCHOOL
HOUSE, IN THE SEVENTH WARD, CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS.

Honorable The Mayor and City Council, Fort Worth, TEXAS.

Gentlemen:-

In response to your notice to Contractors, dated September 14th., 1901,
a copy of which is hereto attached and made a part hereof, the undersigned
construction of a three room, one story fram school house, to be located in the
Seventh Ward of the City of Fort Worth, on property designated by said City,
strictly in accordance with the plans and specifications for the said work,
on file in the office of John B. Hawley, City Engineer, for the lump sum of
Twenty one hundred and Fifty seven dollars $2157.00

The undersigned hereby agree, in case this proposal is accepted, to furnish
the required bond, with good and sufficent sureities, to be approved by the
Mayor of Ft. Worth, and to enter into contract with the City of Ft. Worth
within three (3) days after notice of of such acceptance, and to fully complete
the entire work within thirty days after signing said contract.

In the event of refusal or the neglect of the undersigned to furnish
the required bond--with said sureties-and to enter into contract as above
stripulated, then the said City shall have the right to retain and to convert
the avails of the certified check, herewith submitted, to and for the sole use
and benifit of the City, as liquidated damage for said refusal
or neglect.

And..........further declare that.........have carefully examined the specifi-
cations and plans for the work, and the form of contract and bond for same,
and also the premises upon which the work is to be done, and that by personal
examination of said premises, and by other means, have satisfied..............as to
the nature of said work ; and will contract to preform all work and furnish
all materials and labor necessary and proper for the purpose , and to complete
the work within the time herein mentioned and on the conditions mentioned
described and set forth in this proposal and the said notice, form
of contract, plans and specifications.

And............further declar that..........fully understand that all measure-
ments that may necessarily be made during the course of the work, are to "net"
and not "customary" or rule measurement.
