TO THE HONORABLE CITY COMMISSIONERS OF
FORT WORTH, TEXAS.

Gentlemen:-

As former Language teacher of the schools of Bruxelles, later
of Fort Worth University I immediately realized the immense commercial
and sientific value of the now firmly established "New AUXILIARY World
Language, ESPERANTO" and decided at once to devote all my energy and time
to introduce the study of this priceless language in the great State of
Texas, in organizing the 'Texas Esperanto Association", whose aim is to
devise every possible way and means for the propaganda of this new study.

As this great educational movement has received the most enthu-
siastic indorsement and financial assistance by the local authorities
and Chamber of Commerce in every cililized country, I herewith respect-
fully submit the following petition, to the consideration of the honor-
able Commissioners:

That it may please this Honorable body to-

I. To place a lecture room in the City Hall (free of charge) at the
disposition of the Esperantists twice a week, from 7 to 9 P.M., for
their regular meetings.

2. Also the use of the Auditorium occasionally of the Inauguration
Celebration of the Association, and Concerts planed to help raise the
funds necessary to meet the expenditures of an extensive advertising
campaign, etc. -

The endorsement of the Honorable Commissioners will materially
help to arouse the public to the fact "That Texas has got to fall into
line" and work hard to be able to make a good show at the "International
Congress of Esperantists" to be held at the Texas Exposition, planed for
I9II.
