I presume you are expecting a letter from us and, unless I write it, I fear you will not receive one very soon. [For], Archie has no more time for writing than when you were here and you know how busy he was then.

And Katie is attending the Spencerian Buisness College. She leaves here every morning on the st cars about 8 o"clock and returns about

She is learning to like her new studies and, [school?], better every day, but has been sick with bowel & stomach trouble ever since she came and was so bad for awhile that she missed two days of school last week. She has need of a watch and today, Archie went up to the city and exchanged his silver, (at a sacrifice), for a ten dollar ladies' silver watch. It is beautiful and I think it will please her. oftener than once or twice a week. I presume you have heard of, [Jennie's?], departure and safe arrival at, [Uncle?], F. She went last Tuesday morning. I bought her a new, [sacque?], and made her a belt and braided it with braid like her blue dress and made her suspenders and she wore the suit with a white waist. The sacque was of the same shade as the braid and she was very much pleased with her outfit. She was revaccinated before starting, but I don't think it would ever take affect. Dr. H. was

glad to know she was going and wished her a pleasant time. She said she would write to you. I was very sick for a few days last week. I had a high fever for awhile and thought it was typhoid but was happily disappointed, for I am well, as usual, again. I am taking treatment of Dr. Hudson and will likely have to continue awhile. I have not yet been able to wash this week. I had a great deal to do to get Jennie ready and, since she has gone, I have been trying to rest. We have not got moved, but Archie is trying every day to find a house but, had poor success. I am preparing every day for moving and hope one

[Woolf?], writes that they are, [?], to collect Archie's, [judgement?], and, [Nell?], is trying to cover up all his property so it is going to be difficult to collect but, they are nevertheless going to try mighty hard to get. He has appointed a friend of his in Alliance to attend to the business and Archie is, [cabsolutely], on buying us a home on the installment plan [written on right side] if they collect the judgment.
