I wrote a letter to her yesterday
as soon as I received it,
telling her to keep me posted
as to her condition & etc. I also
wrote to Katie Ballard, Supt
of the hospital, to write
me and tell me all
about my daughter and
keep me posted as regards to
her condition. I do
wish you could go
to her; but again, is it
necessary? If not, don't
let us think of it; but
what shall we do if she
dies? That is the question
