My dear:
During the 3 wks vacation, we are living with Jack's
teacher and will continue to live in Berkeley, just where
we do not know yet, but will probably get our dinner with
Mrs. Watson all the time. Jack is extremely busy these
days, otherwise, I would enclose a letter from him. As soon
as I can get him to write, will do so. Mrs. Watson is going
to coach him for the fourth grade which he will enter the
next term after Christmas. Mrs. W. thinks him a remarkably
intelligent child, but there has been lots of hard work,
and people have said that you ought to be compelled to
give him an education and put him in the proper schools
where he could unlearn what has been done, so you have
much to be thankful for this Christmas.

but presume this will reach you all right.
Mrs. Watson is giving Jack music lessons and, with his
skates, coaster and playmates, he is the busiest
boy in town.
