Dear Sister Edith:

We received the box of apples & we never seen anything like them & they came through in such good condition, as you had them packed so good. There wasn't only 3 or 4 that was only brusied a little. We never seen such large nice apples. I never knew that you could raise apples there & I often thought I would like to send you a box from here, but since you have shown me a sample of yours, mine would look like small potatoes. We have only eaten one so far, as we think them more of a curiosity & like to look at them & want to keep them as long as we can. Sarah gave her folks one apiece
