1/4 of it - We couldn't eat nor sleep, but am making up for it now. I am gaining every day. The morning we arrived, we got a telegram that Aunt Annie Edward died suddenly the night before, but no one went to the funeral. Aunt Laura said she was sick only 15 minutes, but didn't say what was wrong with her.

I looked terrible. Edward said he wouldn't have known me. He is such a big boy and as tough as can be.

Aunt Emma's beau, (Oliver Cofe), was up to see her last night. She doesn't seem to want me to see him. They say he is a peculiar old fellow, but she has a case on him alright. Doesn't it seem strange?

Nell dearie, it is lunch time and must close for this time.

Got a letter from, [Mim's?]. Said she that she couldn't start it when train pulled out. Said I had surely been a good mother to her. I will just keep that letter.

Write soo please. Give little girls lots of hugs and kisses for Aunt Nettie and tell them I think & talk of them so much. Oh, [Didri?] do send a bunch of those pictures, please. I forgot them the day I was there. Give Daddy my love & a kiss and oceans for, [Didri?], dear.

Your loving, Nettie

Mama sends lots of love to you and says she thinks of you so often and is so grateful for all your kindness to us. Says she would love to see you. Papa wants all to go out to Calif., but Mama won't go.

March 6/13

My dear girl, little girls and Daddy:

Read your card and was so glad to hear from you. Have been intending to write to your every day, but oh, the callers and company we have had. [Evely?], says she believes everyone in the world knows Mama. Poor Tommy thinks he is being, [podly?], neglected and I have got a letter from him about every day.

We are all well and enjoying our visit very much. The weather

has been so bad since we came, [[struck text]:home]]. Have been out only 4 or 5 times.

Reese was to come down and take the girls and I out to Aunt Mary Brown's today, but it snowed all night and is blowing and snowing hard this morning so don't look for him to come. Aunt Mary says she can't wait any longer. She is better now than she has been for a long time.

Mama and all liked the marmalade so well, [Ollis?], that it fine. Sent Aunt Mary's out to her haven't heard since.

We haven't seen Aunt Laura yet, but I got a lovely letter from her and says we have to come up right away. Do wish it would get a little warmer so we can get out.

Jim McGready was up to see me the other evening, and met him on the, [street?]. He is very thin and as grey as can be.
