My dear Edith:
Can you forgive me
dear? I am so ashamed
of myself, hardly know what
to say. Well, of course, Nettie
told you how busy we have
been and maybe, that will
let me out a little. Indeed
dear, we have had an
awful time this winter.
Elias has been so sick.
For awhile, we didn't think
he would last for a short
time. He is much better
now, but the doctor says
he may be feeling first rate
one day and down the next.
He has brigh'ts disease!
