I am too late
to send this by Lieut Modica so
have concluded to send this it by mail
The ten dollars I think I will
not put in this letter as I am
a little affraid of the mail
We shall get paid off in a few days
I shall then send home to James
at Boston some money by express
I will then put in this $10 now
I want you to write me if you
want the money or I thought perhaps
you would rather have James buy
articles in Boston for you and Mother
if so you must write to him I
will write you when I send it
