Sir duly rec: yours of 26th Curr. I note the Contents, I have
[Shept?] the smallest of your Anchors [&?] Capt. Greenough, the other agreeable to your
desire will exchange for Iron if in my [hower?], or dispose of it for [illegible] part Iron
or part Cash, as you otherwise propose, I out of the Cash part, discharge Jackson
demand on you for truckage, as soon as a [Uefsell?] prevents after I have made the
Exchange of the Anchor for the Iron, I will send it in the proportion of [flat?] &
Square as ordered mean time I am
the price of anchors made of the [best?] Iron is

for your intention of shipping a quantity of Wines to my addreSs [&?] kind tender
you make of Services in BusineSs, what little I have had transacted at your
City has been by my friend M. Thomas Smith who has ever rendered [entire?]
satisfaction otherwise should embrace your friendly offer. such old rich [Lisbon?]
Wines as you discribe doubt not will pretty readily sell so as to neat the price
here you set them at, what are now at market Sell at about 20 Dollars
