Capt. John Butler writes me P [per] this post he had directed
you to send to my care some Liver Oil & Blubber to be Shipt to him, an
opportunity presenting for New York, youl please to embrace the first oppor-
tunity of sending it me, as I dont know when I shall meet with another Vessell
bound there, I am your hum.l Servant

I recd. your favr. of 5th Currtt. inclosing M.r Saml. Townsends
order on Mr Jeremiah Lee for the neat proceeds of 28 bbs of Pork, which have
forwarded for acceptance & have wrote him respecting the same & the neat
proceeds of your Pork, Bread & Flour, as also to Wiliam Dolliver to send the
Liver Oil & Blubber directly having now an opportunity of sending it by
Capt Belknap if can be got here in time for him. Whale Oil is now [pound sign] 125
& rising, there is no less then 10 ships Loading for London, fear it will ex-
ceed your Limittation before I can be in Cash to purchase for your acco.tt
youl be duly advis'd by what Vessell I ship that you may make Insurance
mean time I am your most huml Servt

post & note the contents, am obligd for your information about Pigg Iron, if
I purchase shall apply to you, Flax seed sells here from 4/6 @ 5/ & som have
given 6/. should be heartily glad to be concerned with you in the purchase
of any any articles on the terms you propose that would answer, but at present nei-
ther of those you propose are to be had on Credit (except Common W. J: Rum/ at
the price you Limit, Jamaica Spirit that will Sink Oil is 25/ Molasses 9/ @
9/6 & rising, good Muscovado Sugars 18 [pounds], W: J: Rum 17/6. Ill endeavour to
procure what I am of the latter & advise you of my success P next Thursdays
post. I am Your most huml. Servt.
