advis'd me would be discharg'd either by you or his Father & so from time

lasses with you, no quantity of W: I: Rum is to be had at present, the parcell I
expected is kept back for a better market, Jamaica is 25/, & not above a hhd [hogs head] or
two that I know of to be purchas'd, Molases 9/6 @ 10/ & rising, N: E: Rum 12/ &
pay for the Casks which brings it to 12/10. if any of the above should be at
price that will answer, please to advise if it can be shipt with safety after
the Stamp act takes place.
I dont know whether Thomas Mumford Junr. of New London has shipt
any Effects here lately if it be the Gentleman that Lives at Groton Ferry
opposite New London, he has often shipt to Mr. Nathaniel Coffin & pro-
bably now may employ Mr. Brattle, if I can come at the knowledge (without
making a discovery) of his having any Effects I will advise you, mean
