The foregoing is Copy P [per] Fleet. I now inclose you Accott. of
Charges on 3 Casks Ironmongery P Deverson amounting to £4.9.11 L money & of
a Bale of [Baize?] P Bruce amounting to £2.13.6 both Jams Chargd to your Accott.
Currtt., Inclos'd also is Sales of part of the Cloth P Jarvis, Neat proceeds £18.1.2/2
Lmo. & of part of the Wool Cards P Dashwood, Neat proceeds £34.0.1/2 both
put to the Credit of your Accott. Currtt. which is Inclosd also Ballance in your
favr. £83.3.11/2 Lmo. youl observe by the Inclos'd List of Outstanding
Debts there is a larger Sum Outsanding viz £88.4.0/4, I expect very soon to
receive the amount of Southwick & Clarks Debt by a Consignment they pro-
pose making me by the first Vessell from their place, the other two I have no
doubt will be paid when they became due. by your favr. of 3d. July I find
you had recd. Edward Whites Bill for £16 Sterling which was accepted. I
made Messrs. Davis's the offer of your Goods on the terms you propos'd, they
told me they would not give the Cash for them at half the price you sell; but
talkt of taking them & paying for them in Lumber, but the freight of
that article being so high that there must be a certain Loss to you I declind
urging their taking them. I am really sorry I have not been able to do
any better for you, but must assure you that those Goods are overcharg'd
as much as mentond in my Letters, if the most reputable merchants in
this place are to be believ'd, however that be you cant think it is in my
power to oblige people to take your goods at your price whether they will
or no, everything that I could do has been one to get them off, I am

I duly recd. your favr. of 14th Currtt. & note the Contents, your not favoring us
with a visit, do assure you is no small disappointments to your friends in Generl.
& to me in particular as we all promisd ourselves that pleasure, please as soon as
it suits your Convenience after your return to Jamaica to furnish me with Messrs.
Bonds Accott. & the proper directions for Conveying the House at Port Royall.
I am astonishd at their giving up Eastwicks Estate in Kingston to his Heirs
without consulting Mr. Apthorps Executors as my Decd. Brother had got possession of
