July, who writes us & he had just arrived there, with the
Sloop & a fine Load Wood chipt, & should sail next day
for Leghorn, which makes us wonder, we have no Letter
from you via London, as one of your House is there, as
you must certainly as we should think, have heard some
thing of her, if She is not arrived there, it is a great damage
to us to be kept so in the dark for want of a Letter, we
see by the London Prints Octob'r that Mr Quincy's {Brigantine} was
arrived, but find nothing of our Sloop, her not arriving here
this fall will be an unspeakable damage to us, unless you
have improved her there, someway to our advantage, that
we know nothing of, but begg the favour of you to write
via London & all opportunity's, after the receipt of this.
Upon the whole if the Sloop is arrived at Leghorn, hope to
hear your Agreement will have nothing to do with our
Logwood, but that you have disposed of it, for the most it
would fetch, after ye Sloops Arrivall, agreable to orders
herein you will give us Contents, be it more or less, & will
lay a foundation for a greater Correspondence between
us, otherwise shall think ourselves injur'd & must resent it
accordingly, have had no opportunity of writing you di=
=rect, or should have done it, but shall embrace all opportunitys
that present, & hope you will do the same & are

After confirming the above
as Copy of my last, have to acquaint you of the
Receipt of your favour, & have inclosed Invoice & Bill
Loading for £34.16.11. on board the Dispatch, {Captain} Blaney
which has come to hand, & (excepting the Taffaties) turn
out to Content, the Cloth is well bought, & of a good Co=
=lour, the Edgings likewise, but the Taffaties are very thin
spotted & ordinary, am sorry you sent them, as expect shall
lose great deal by them, if can sell them at all, am sorry
you did not remitt me the whole, as you could not get
the Taffaties, in Edgings, am very sorry you did not send
the whole at once, shall lose 100 {per} {Cent} in the Sale, of what you
have sent, by not receiving them before, & what I shall lose
by what you are yet to send, cant say, but will make a great
difference to me. Upon the whole if you have not sent the
