Petala 5 oblongo-spathulata, quasi in unquem attenuata, basi gibba, apice acutiuscula, albida, acceptaculo staminifero, inserta.
Filamenta 10 (interdum 7-12) receptculo inserta, quo= =rum 5. alterna longitudine petalorum apice subulata; reliquis 5 alterna brevio =ra subulata; Antherae subglobosa 2 lo= =ba, 2 locularis.
Germen simplex, pyramidata — 3-gonum, glabrum, staminibus brevior. Stigma sessile, crassum 3 locularis lobrum. Capsula 3-gonae, 3 alata, 3 locularis; locularis loculis monospermis.
Geum inter Banisteriam & Triopteridem proxim =um. Numerum staminum & petalorum valde varians.
