Description

Mentha pulegium is a herbaceous annual to perennial in the mint family Lamiaceae, and the crushed leaves emit a very strong fragrance similar to spearmint. Used medically as an emmenagogue and abortifacient, it's toxic to the liver. Aka (European) pennyroyal, pennyrile, mosquito plant, pudding grass.
