Description

John Pearson (1758-1826) was an English surgeon in London, senior surgeon at Lock Hospital and Asylum, and surgeon to the Public Dispensary. London Lock Hospital was the first of the Lock Hospitals developed for the treatment of syphilis. Among his writings was "Observations on the effects of various articles of the Materia Medica in the cure of Lues Venerea" (1800).
