Notes:
1) Surprisingly, perhaps due to a writing error by the map maker, the year of the siege of Quebec, when Count de Frontenac was governor of New France, is incorrect. The year that has been written is 1670, whereas the siege took place in October 1690 (from October 16 to October 21, 1690).
2) An annotation at the bottom right corner of the map suggests that the original map, which was produced during the second of Governor's Frontenac two tenures (the first one from 1672 to 1682, and the second one from 1689 to 1698) may have been amended in March 1707. These could be the annotations made by hand on the map.
