Dear Sir

We have done worthily is sending home two of your Salem Scholars who I hope came safe to hand (in the mercantile state). The rest of the business was shamefully done. I have {entered} my written protest in form.

Mr. Hilliard is the be installed on the 27th instant in the afternoon. You must dine with me on that day. As it will be vacation I hope we shall not get our heads broke.
