{Sir} It is just a month since I wrote you a few lines representing the difficulties in which the College is involved for want of access to our Treasury. Besides all the applications made to me before my last, to know who was to receive the College monies, many others have come to me since with the same question, and are very uneasy that I cannot answer them. Not doubting but that the multiplicity of more public business on your hands is the reason why I have not yet received some answer to what I then wrote; I hope you will not be offended, that I once more renew my earnest request to hear from you speedily, & know what may be done in such a situation of our College affairs.
Your most obedient & very {humble} {servant} {Samuel} Langdon
to the {Honorable} {John} Hancock, {Esquire}
