President Langdon's most respectful Compliments to General Hancock, & begs Leave to present to him the following Copy of a Vote of the Corporation, with which the Overseers have concurred, & pray that he would in form him, or General Ward, what time will be most convenient for him to attend on the business therein mentioned -

viz At a Meeting of the President & Fellows of Harvard College {October} 20th 1778 -

Voted The {Committee} appointed some time since to settle the Treasury Accounts of the late Treasurer Hancock, not having accomplished the Business, & the late {Doctor} Eliot one of the {Committee} being deceased -- Voted -- That the President & Treasurer be a Committee, to join with such as the {Honorable} & {Reverend} Board of Overseers shall appoint for that Purpose True Copy attest: {Samuel} Langdon {President}

In Consequence of the above Vote, the {Honorable} & {Reverend} Board of Overseers appointed General Ward, Mr Dana, & Mr Austin, to join with the forementioned {Committee} of the Corporation -
