An account of the deficiency of Utensils as
appears from comparing the returns made
by the Steward March 12 & June 12, 1778 in
connexion with those purchased in {second}[?] term and
charged in the victualling[?] book — viz

2 pewter dishes
38 bowls
12 Teacups
6 large spoons
1 pepper box
2 vinegar cruets
1 pudding pan
3 knives & 1 fork
2 Candlesticks
1 Skimmer
3 large pitchers
2 Table cloths — use[?]
2 Iron skillets
2 old pails
1 Salt
3 mustard pots
1 milk pan.

For a number of the above Articles the Steward
accounts in the following manner. viz —

13 Bowls broken by accident and 6 charged to persons
who broke them
2 large pitchers broken by accident
4 large spoons d[?]
1 Vinegar cruet d[?]
2 knives worn out
1 Salt carried out of the Hall

Consequently remain unaccounted for ~
