Of the Eclipses for 1751.
THERE will be Four Eclipses this Year, two of the Sun, and also as many of the Moon, in the following Order, viz.
I. The First will be of the SUN, May the 13th at Eight in the Evening, invisible.
II. The Second is of the MOON, May the 28th, visible, calculated as follows, viz.
Beginning, - - - - 7 hours 20 minutes } Middle, - - - - - - 9 hours 4 minutes } Evening, End, - - - - - - - - 10 hours 46 minutes } Duration, - - - - - 3 hours 26 minutes } Digits eclipsed, 10 hours 25 minutes
III. The Third will be of the SUN, November the 3d, at Eight at Night, invisible.
IV. The Fourth and last is of the MOON, the 21st Day of November, partly visible ; at the Sun's Setting the Moon will rise two Thirds eclipsed ; but by that Time the Day-light is gone so as to have a good Prospect of the Moon, the Eclipse will end.
