resembles South Carolina It consists of
a flat territory very sandy and in general
either pine barrens or swamps the slips of
oak land are not large nor numerous the
swamps are inferior to those of Carolina for
the production of rice and in general the
country is not so good for the whole
breadth of the flat part but this in=
=feriority is not great all the sea
Coast of America from Jersey to Florida
has a strong similarity.

The vegetable productions both of
trees, shrubs, roots, flowers, &c are the same
as those of South Carolina nor is there
much difference in the growth for tho
Georgia lies to the south of that province
yet is the climate not hotter than that of
Carolina and there are some parts of the

latter
