more comfort under his unsuccessful
sincerity than the hypocrite for his
life can have in his most successful
& happiest hypocrisy. The comfort
of his success if he has any, is wholly
others, the workman himself had not
the least jot of it. Hence of Paul, {Philippians}
1.18. who rejoiced in the success of the
gospel tho' preached by his adversa
ries out of envy & to vex him. whereas
yet they themselves, preaching only
of vain glory & contention, coud not
have the least comfort thereby.

11. & lastly, in all dangers, tryals & temp
:tations: sincerity maketh us valiant
& couragious, begetting in us the true
manly, generous & heroical spirits
