be upright then before God it must
first as it were make itself crooked
in stooping & bowing itself under
his mighty hand in the exercises
of humiliation. That the heart may
be whole it must be rent & broken.

moulten & dissolved. Unsound
bodies, full of vicious humours
cannot come to any good estate till
they be well emptied by purgation
Humiliation is that which melts
us, purges us, & so makes us of
drossy sound, pure & strait chris
