white with Aster vimineus.

Sunday. Clear, glorious day. This P.M.
I strolled over the salt-marsh back
of Cambridge Cemetrary. The dying vegetation
shows the approach of winter. Large
orange-colored patches of a short grass
were Spartina juncea. Spartina stricta,
Solidago sempervirens, Ginger, the former
quite dead.

Clear, cool. This A.M. George, M. & I walked half way
round the Pond. The fountain was lashed by the breeze making a
fine show. Mounted some plants yesterday & to-day.
