Dear Dr. Miriam Van Waters
I'm very happy to hear from you so
soon hope you are fine
as for myself I am well

I want to thank you for the money you
send me for cigarettes I appreciate it
very much.

Theres not too much to do here in
Block nine but I try to make the
best of it.

I manage to do a lot of reading
and watching television and I do
read the News Paper everyday,
but used to play checkers and chess
but we just lost interest in the
games we do go out in the yard
once in a while it's only a small
section right in back of Block nine
only two can go out at a time to
exercise I guess it's better than staying
indoors everydya. other than that it's
