Dear Mariam
I got your letter on the 17th tuesday
and was very good to hear from you
how is everything. been feeling fine I hope.
I understand that the Hong Kong flu is on
the upsweep in Massachusetts again this year
I've been quite lucky so far. I guess you
could call it that.

I dont think I will be lucky enough to do
without the second cart though -
every bodies doing well as can be expected
here. we are trying to learn spanish in our
spare time we have the records and the
record player. its kind of hard since we're
not use to speaking a foreign language.
Well anyway it gives us something to do
and might learn something besides.
