— July 12 —
— Nantucket, Mass. —
We left Cambridge this A.M. and took
the 1 P.M. train at the Old Colony Depot, arriving
here at 6.30. The weather was clear and
cool and the sea smooth. Mr. Morong met
us at the wharf and directed us to our
boarding house, Mrs. Temple's, Pearl St.
My cousin Edward Grey came with us. After
supper, Mr. M. called and we arranged a
trip for to-morrow to Miacomet Pond.
