The Garden Club met with Mrs.
Elwood Cox for our May 14th meeting.
The roll call was dispensed and the
minutes were read and approved.

Mrs. King announced that the
prizes had been awarded to the school
children who had won same for their poster
work.

The club was glad to welcome Mrs.
Joe Cox and Mrs. A. S. Calwell as new members.

Mrs. Jones was named chairman of the
Com. to look after gov. films which were
shown in the schools during week of May 16th.

For our program we enjoyed Mr. Gilmer
from Winston who spoke to us on Dahlias
and how to grow them. He gave us much
valuable information about them. Mrs.
Gilmer read us a poem on Dahlias.

After the club adjourned to meet
May 27th with Mrs. H. A. White we enjoyed
going through Mrs. Cox's garden.
