There was a fleshly depravity about this man which to a pure heart and truly pious mind appears worldly in a very low degree. It would seem notwithstanding all his pretensions to sanctity and devotion to the cause of the Gospel this thirst for women he could not overcome

It may be a mere conceit of mine, but I have no kind of confidence in the piety of any man who shows so much fondness for young beautiful women. It seems the predominating passion of this man [J?]udson was a desire for too much female flesh. Perhaps a little lamb a good fat pig or a dozen chickens would have done as well. But the flesh of pretty women is better than these to a lustful heart W.H
