Reference to the 115th New York Volunteer Infantry Regiment. Lawrence Buckley aka Laurence Butler is listed in this roster of the regiment: https://dmna.ny.gov/historic/reghist/civil/rosters/Infantry/115th_Infantry_CW_Roster.pdf He enlisted at age 19 in 1863 so he would have been about 26 when he bought the book in 1870 and 51 when he had it rebound in 1895.

Further note: the book in question is about the 115th regiment that the inscriber was a member of.
