Peanut Cookies

1c flour
1/2 t salt
2 t baking powder
2 T shortening
1 c chopped peanuts
1/2 c sugar
1/4 c milk
1 egg
1 t lemon juice or flavor

Sift dry ingredients together,
add melted shortening to
beaten egg, add milk and
lemon juice and mix well
with dry ingredients to
make soft dough. Add
peanuts, mix well and drop by t on a greased
