Hungry Man's Cake
(copied from Florence's old manuscripts)

Cream 2 c brown sugar
1/2 c shortening
add 2 well beaten egg yolks
1/2 c sour milk alternately with
1/2 teas soda sifted with
2 cups flour
1/2 teas cinnamon
1 salt spoon each of
cloves and nutmeg
1 teas. salt
1 teas bak. powder
Bake in 3 Washington pie tins
Put together with boiled frosting
with chopped raisins and
a few nut meats.
