Mount Blanc Cake

1/2 cup butter
2 " sugar
1 " milk and 1 tblsp extra.
3 3/4 " flour.
3 tsp baking powder.
1 " flavouring.
1/8 " salt.
Whites of 5 eggs whisked stiff.
Warm the bowl and cream the butter & sugar.
Sift baking powder with flour & salt.
Add milk & flour in alternation beating
very smooth. Flavor.
Whisk the whites very stiff on a platter.
Add carefully to the batter and do not
mix more than necessary.
