Sir, Accompanying please find claims to affidavits of Mrs Lacock and A. J. Ringold requesting with them affidavits to stop vouchers in Mr Hansons accounts. and my endorsements shown as follows.
M A Lacock claims $250.00 endorsed " This horse has never been turned over by Mr Hanson but he states in his letter to me that he has taken vouchers. & and in his account currant & now holds the horse as his security against the check on Treasury. This should be allowed and paid to voucher stopped"
A. J. Ringold claims $874.52 caveat against voucher of $1000.00 endorsed by me" This should be
3
2 "allowed as follows
"277 15/00 bush wheat a 75 cts $207.90 "3 acrs Corn a $25 ea $5.00 "150 head hogs if retained by the department at 2 1/2 cts pr lb 375.00 "50 fowls a 50 cts ea 25.00 "Total" $682.90
If I understand this rightly then what is in Govt barns on reservation but not carried into account by Supervisor as by Mr Hanson [illegible] the corn was turned into by Govt and consumed.
The hogs running in Reservation enclosures but not taken into account by Supervisor
The fowls taken, then was a farm also included but has since been sold by Ringold to third parties. I think under the
4
circumstances. The wheat in grainery and [illegible] Corn destroyed. The hogs largely improved on Government [illegible] & fowls and the claims should be allowed at above my [illegible] to the property taken to accounts.
