1) For literary works (e.g. fiction, biography etc.) written by and about lesbians and reflecting a lesbian sensibility use standard subject and form headings for literary works. The lesbian aspect is indicated by the L
prefix in the call number.
2) For material discussing the depiction of lesbians in literature use LITERARY TREATMENT OF LESBIANS.
3) For biographical material on several lesbian writers use use LESBIAN WRITERS -- BIOGRAPHY; similarly use LESBIAN WRITERS -- CRITICISM for critical works on lesbian literature. When possible however, use the name of the individual writer with -- BIOGRAPHY or -- CRITICISM appended.
