Order 14
Whereas the vestry being Satisfied that mr. James Keith has been guilty
of Several crimes very unworthy of the Character of a Minister of
our Holy Church particularly his having a Bastard Child, Drunkenness
and rude behaviour offered to very virtuous Women. Therefore they do
refuse to entertain him any longer as minister of this parish, and do
Declare that from this time they will not make him any allowance as
minister. And it is thereupon ordered that the Clerk do give him notice
hereof by Delivering him a Copy of this Order.
Ordered
That the Church Wardens of the parish in behalf of the vestry do make
a Representation hereof to the Governor.

At a vestry held at Curls Church for Henrico parish in 17th day of
June 1735
present
William Randolph [Esq?] , Richard Randolph, Bowler Cocke and James
powell Cocke. Gent. vestrymen.

Pursuant to the directions of an of Acts of Assembly directing the Dividing
Henrico parish, the freeholders and houskeepers present do unanimously
Elect Edward Curd, John Williamson, James Cocke, John Povall and Rob't
Mosby, which with ye vestrymen formerly of this parish make up the
number Twelve, who take the oaths and Subscrib ye Decarlataion as
vestrymen.

I do sincerely promise and Swear to be conformable to the Doctrine
and Discipline of the Church of England June ye 17th 1735
