This deed made this 18th day of December 1857 witnesseth
that I George W. Apperson have emancipated and do by
these presents emancipate my slave named Robert aged
forty three years and do hereby release and discharge
him forever from all manner of servitude,
Witness my hand and seal the day and date above
written.
