transfer to the 7th. Nor does it affect my wanting
to be posted home - that is different too. But I
do not think an officer can apply or take steps
to be transferred here & there, just because he
likes the look or idea of the job better. The
Army would be chaos if that were freely
allowed. And so rest content, sweetness - so
long as the Promised Land is safe, so am I.
And even if it is not, I shall be. I am
coming home to you & nothing is going
to prevent it.
