My dear Willie

Sis. Mary has written
thee so fully that there appears not
much left for me to say - it is very
pleasant to us to have her get well enough
to visit us once more - but she still looks
feeble - Last sixth day Melissa went
with her Ladd to Waterbury to attend a
camp meeting - Henry Miles & wife
& Seneca Hazzard & wife went there
to H's to dine - & just before dinner Mag-
gie scalded her hand quite badly -
Horace went for Carny Gray, but
she was sick a bed - having danced
all night after a sword presentation
to Capt. Coburn - but towards night
H. went again & got her - so they [rubbed?]
along till first day night when M.
returned - Horace's sister is still very
sick at John Putnam's - Spaffords
