33 School St. Boston

Dr. Richardson

Sir, In the order for
the interment of your late wife,
Mrs. Mary Richardson, in the lot
of [Symuel?]Gardner, in Mt. Auburn,
, the blank for her
age was not filled. Thinking
there had been neglect on the part
of the undertaker, or town clerk,
I wrote to each of them, and
learned that one of them you
"could not tell", and the other
you refused to tell, if the reply
"no matter" "no consequence" is
to be thus construed.-

As it is not only our wish
but our duty to make our
Register of Interments complete
in every particular, where it
is possible to do so, I must

request that you will
furnish us with the desired
information. I should be
very unwilling to suppose you
had any motive for withholding
this information, as I am not
aware of any such case of
refusal ever before occurring.
and we should prefer to
believe that this is a mistake
about this.-

We wish to close our record
for the year, at once, and
trust you will furnish this fact
for our Register; or we shall be
obliged to note in the place
where it should be stated such
information as has already been
furnished as a reason for the omission.

Yours respectfully
