Mr. Brewer

Dear Sir,

In your letter of 21^st inst, recd
you asked to have made and set "a granite foun-
"dation" for a tablet, on your lot.

The regular underground foundation
has been ordered ^ ^{by me;} but we did not quite under-
stand whether you wished us to furnish the
ground or not. This "base" is usually included
in the contract of the man who furnishes the
tablet or monument, but if you wish us to fur-
nish it we will do so.

Please inform as at your earliest con-
venience in regard to the matter, and oblige
