Messrs Shedd & Sawyer

Dear Sirs

The amount if surveying and the
needs of having a surveyor constantly about the grounds
has become so great, that our Trustees have decided
to appoint a surveyor whose whole time shall be
at the disposal of the Corporation & who shall take
the charge of all the surveying & plan [?ing]

While this change will result in our doing as
of our own works, it is hardly necessary for me to
add that it was brought about solely from the
need of having a surveyor here at all times.

Thanking you for the care & consideration which
our work has received at your hands. I would
request you forward to me as soon as possible
by "Emerson's Watertown Express" such plans papers
and other as you may have, connected with the work
you have done for us.

Yours truly

J. W. Lovering
