Dear Sir

There has lately been erected
on Lot ^#994 (under the care of Corporation) a marble monument
to Fanny Fern.

Owing to the position of the grave a portion of the
hedge had to be removed by the monument maker
in order to get room for the base, as it comes very
close to the line of the lot.

It was understood here that the monument was
erected where the owners wished it.

These trees were not replaced as I thought, you
might arrange to have the hedge removed, but
in other respects the lot seems to be in good
order, and the marble cover is certainly of a pleasing
design.
