1860-03-05 Trustee Committee on Iron Fence to Stone Farm, 2014.004.017

The committee to whom was referred the subject of an fenceiron fence round the Stone farm, stockade fence, [?] &c

Report. - That it is inexpedient to erect at present an iron fence about the Stone farm - or to remove the stockade fence.

That it is expedient to construct one or more fountains in proper parts of the Cemetery with jets of water raised by steam power - for which object they recommend the following Votes

That this committee be authorized to expend nine^{a sum not exceeding}one thousand dollars in the construction of suitable cisterns or reservoirs to contain the water necessary for said fountains

That the same committee be authorized to expend a sum not exceeding four thousand dollars for a steam engine, pipes and other appurtenances necessary & proper for the construction of one or more fountains as aforesaid

provided that the Massachusetts Horticultural society shall agree to pay[?] oen fourth part of the expense of said foufntains & their appurtenances not excl[?] dollars
