Dear Sir

I have laid out agreeably to your instructions, one hundred lots at Mt. Auburn. I have also placed them on the large Plan, which belongs at the Cemetery --

The Lots are situated as follows - viz.

on Cypress avenue, north of the public Lot	16
" Fir " , south of Mimosa Path	18
" Oak & Larch " , S, near their Eastern junction	4
" Chestnut ", its northern End between Lot No. 824, & its northern end	36
On Eglantine Path, north of the Public Lot	15
" Mistletoe " , nearly opposite Mimosa, intended for tomb lots	6
On Yarrow Path (so called on Dearborn's Plan), near Spruce Avenue	6 A
	101

All of these are of the prescribed form, 15 x 20, except the following -- viz.

On Cypress Avenue --	one 10 ft. wide containing 200.sq. ft.
	two 16 " " (each) 320.
On Fir "	two 18 " " [each] 360.
	one 16 " " 320.
	one 161/2" " 330.

In distributing the lots, I have generally placed a number together, as I understand that purchasers now usually prefer a situation in the neighbourhood of others, to one alone.

In the selection of ground, I have been guided by the opinion of Mr. Howe -

The Plan on which the lots are drawn is at my office - I am obliged to leave town for a week, but the young gentleman left in charge of my business will deliver it when wanted - And I hope with it & this Communication, you will have all the information desired upon the subjects --
