Dear Sir
I have laid out agreeably to your instructions, one hundred lots at Mt. Auburn. I have also placed them on the large Plan, which belongs at the Cemetery --
The Lots are situated as follows - viz.
on Cypress avenue, north of the public Lot | 16 |

In distributing the lots, I have generally placed a number together, as I understand that purchasers now usually prefer a situation in the neighbourhood of others, to one alone.
In the selection of ground, I have been guided by the opinion of Mr. Howe -
The Plan on which the lots are drawn is at my office - I am obliged to leave town for a week, but the young gentleman left in charge of my business will deliver it when wanted - And I hope with it & this Communication, you will have all the information desired upon the subjects --
